Chelsea Guo, 11 year old prize-winning pianist, will present a recital program including works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Poulenc, and Ravel.

A resident of Darien, CT, Chelsea most recently received "Special Commendation for Young Talents Award" from the Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists in Germany. Prior prizes include first prize, and the Hazel Ghzarian Skaggs Young Artist Award at the Piano Teachers' Congress of NY 2012 Competition, and first prize at the 2011 American Protege Piano Competition. She has won awards in many local competitions including CSMTA, and the Schubert Club Pianø Competitions, where she won the Bach, Chopin, Schubert, and Beethoven/Mozart awards in 2009, 2010, and 2012!

Chelsea attends Middlesex Middle School in Darien, and has been studying with Ms. Svitlana Fiorito since age five.

Maxim

French Canadian pianist Maxim Bernard has established himself as one of today's most promising young artists.

His program will include Wagner's Prelude (transcribed by E. Schelling), and Isolde's Liebestod (transcribed by Franz Liszt), four Pieces from Romeo and Juliet, Op. 75 by Prokofiev, a Petrarch Sonnet by Liszt, and conclude with Romeo and Juliet: Overture-Fantasia by Tchaikovsky (transcribed by French pianist Emile Naoumoff).
